Tutoring Plus continues to thrive because of volunteers who live, work, and attend school in Cambridge and nearby communities.

Many of our tutors are professionals who work in high-tech companies in nearby Kendall Square. Others come from as far away as the North Shore. They volunteer their time because they want to make a difference to the children of our community.

Fully Screened and Trained

Each tutor is carefully screened, and then goes through Tutoring Plus’s training workshop, which equips tutors with proven techniques for making subjects like science, reading, and writing easily accessible and fun to learn. Tutoring Plus has honed its approach over its 46+ years of educating youth in Cambridge.

Our staff matches tutors’ skills to students’ needs to ensure the personal relationship that makes both the student and tutor successful.
